Dixie-ADOPTED!

Meet Dixie, a lovable 7 year-old Boxer/Beagle mix female who’s looking for a warm, cozy home to spend her golden years. Dixie’s face may be starting to gray but this girl still has lots of love ready to shower on her new family. She came into an overcrowded rural county dog shelter which is no place for a lady to spend her days so she made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she could relax and take her time finding the new home of her dreams. We don’t have any history on this lovely lady but have found that she would probably prefer to be the only dog in the home. She gets along well with other dogs as long as they ignore her. She’s not into playing with them and would much rather spend her time next to her favorite person on the couch or a comfy dog bed. Dixie walks nicely on a leash and would enjoy some leisurely strolls each day. She has excellent crate manners and is likely to be housetrained too. Dixie had fun getting her pictures taken and seemed to enjoy wearing her sunglasses. If you’re looking for a low-key dog to be your constant companion and best buddy, Dixie would love to meet you! Dixie weighs about 48 pounds and her adoption fee is $125. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. Dixie had a recent dental cleaning at our vet and now has a beautiful white smile. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Dixie. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. All of our dogs come to us from county dog pounds so we have no history on them. We also have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 4-5 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
