Hoover-PENDING

This handsome boy is Hoover, a 3-4 year-old Chocolate Lab/Shepherd mix male with soulful eyes, a beautiful coat, and a sweet disposition. Sadly, he tested positive for heartworms at a county dog shelter. Since they don’t have the resources to treat him, they asked us for help with him and he made the trip to Canine Lifeline to get the lifesaving treatment that he needs. Hoover started his two-month long heartworm treatment the week of December 5 and did very well so is now ready for adoption. He adjusted well to crate rest and limited activity during his two month recuperation but is now ready to have some fun. Hoover gets along well with female dogs but sometimes has an issue with other male dogs. He would probably be fine as the only dog in his new home as he really likes being around people. His family should be home much of the time though as Hoover isn’t fond of being alone. Once he settles into a new routine, Hoover’s going to be a devoted companion and walking buddy for one lucky person or family. Hoover weighs about 47 pounds and his adoption fee is $200. Hoover is neutered, on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Hoover. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. All of our dogs come to us from county dog pounds so we have no history on them. We also have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 4-5 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there. Hoover’s heartworm treatment cost about $650. If you’d like to make a donation to help with his care so that we are able to save another dog in the future, please do so on our website at www.caninelifeline.org or by sending a check to Canine Lifeline, PO Box 25742, Garfield Hts OH 44125. Thank you from Hoover and Canine Lifeline!
