Lana is a 7 year-old Doxie/Chihuahua mix female who lost her home when her owner could no longer care for her. She was very stressed at the overcrowded shelter so made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she would have more time to relax and find herself someone new to love. We don’t have any history on her previous life but it seems to us that Lana was a one-person dog as she is very shy and nervous meeting new people. Once she trusts someone though, she is a complete Velcro dog. She has bonded quickly with her foster mom and will do so with her new owner as well. She would probably do best with a single, dog-experienced lady who will let Lana relax and adjust to her new surroundings in her own time. Lana does well in a crate and seems to be housetrained although we can’t guarantee that. She has done well with the other dogs in her foster home but is most interested in being around her person. Lana walks nicely on a leash and would love a daily walk or two around the block. Lana weighs about 11 pounds and her adoption fee is $125. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. Since Lana came to Canine Lifeline, she has had a dental cleaning and now has a pretty white smile. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email email@example.com if you’re interested in Lana. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. All of our dogs come to us from county dog pounds so we have no history on them. We also have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 4-5 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
