Laramie

Laramie is an exceptionally nice 1.5 year-old Cattledog mix female who had the double misfortune of finding herself homeless at a rural county dog shelter and testing positive for heartworms there. The shelter reached out to us for help with her so Laramie made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she would get the lifesaving treatment that she needed. Laramie had her second round of treatment in mid-March and has done very well so is now ready for adoption. She is a lovely girl with a very soft coat and a little bobtail. Laramie is a little shy at first when meeting new people  but once she warms up to someone, she’s a very loyal and devoted friend. Laramie gets along beautifully with other dogs so would likely enjoy having a fun canine companion in her new home. She has excellent crate manners and is likely to be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. Given that she is shy and timid in new situations and from a rural area, urban life would be very scary for her so we are looking for a home for Laramie where things are a little quieter. She weighs about 35 pounds and her adoption fee is $200. She’s spayed, current on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Laramie. An approved application is required before we set up meets with any of our dogs. All of our dogs come to us from county dog pounds so we have no history on them. We also have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 4-5 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there. Laramie’s heartworm treatment cost about $650. If you’d like to make a donation to help with her care so that we may save another dog in the future, please do so on our website at www.caninelifeline.org or by sending a check to Canine Lifeline, PO Box 25742, Garfield Hts OH 44125. Thank you from Laramie and Canine Lifeline!
