Peanut-ADOPTED!

Peanut is a very cute 6 year-old Pomeranian who’s looking for a dog-experienced mature family to welcome him home. He was surrendered to a shelter before Christmas by his owner who was in poor health and could no longer keep him. Peanut was not neutered at that time and had lived a sheltered life with his older owner in an apartment, rarely leaving the property. The shelter was frightening for him so from there he moved to a rescue where he was neutered and put into foster care with a family who had other dogs, cats, and kids. All of the commotion proved to be too much for Peanut so he came to Canine Lifeline where he could relax in a quiet foster home. Peanut has done very well with us and enjoys going to adoption events. He’s fine with other dogs but doesn’t really pay much attention to them so would likely be fine living in a home as an only dog. He hasn’t met cats since he’s been with us but he would likely ignore them as well. Peanut needs a home without children and either a single person or couple who live a quiet lifestyle. Peanut is very animated and acts much younger than his age. He gets attached very quickly to his human friends so would love a home where his humans are home much of the time. Peanut has excellent crate manners so should pick up the housetraining routine fairly quickly in his new home with some patience and consistency on the part of his new family. Peanut weighs about 9-10 pounds and his adoption fee is $200. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. Peanut had a recent dental cleaning with a few extractions and now has a pearly white smile. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Peanut. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 4-5 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
