This beautiful girl is Ruby, a 1 year-old Golden mix female who only weighs about 37 pounds so definitely has some smaller breeds in her family tree. We don’t have any history on this girl as she came into a rural county dog shelter as a stray. When Ruby wasn’t claimed at the shelter, she made her way to us so she would have more time to find the perfect new home. We’ve found that Ruby gets along well with other dogs as long as there is no food around. She doesn’t like to share her food with another dog so if there is another dog in the home, Ruby and the other dog would definitely need to be fed separately. Ruby might especially enjoy being the only dog in the home so she doesn’t have to be on guard for another dog taking her things. She has a very sweet disposition with people but it doesn’t seem as if she’s had much training yet. Walking on a leash is a new experience for her so she will need a patient family to show her the ropes and give her time to settle into a new routine. Ruby has excellent crate manners and may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. Spend some time with this girl and you’ll see what a great companion she’s going to be. Her adoption fee is $200. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Ruby. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. All of our dogs come to us from county dog pounds so we have no history on them. We also have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 4-5 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
