Samoa-ADOPTED!

Samoa is one of a litter of 6 pups who came to Canine Lifeline on January 16. He was born on Nov. 29 and weighed 15 pounds at 8-9 weeks of age. His mother is a white and tan Hound/Jack Russell Terrier mix who weighs about 40 pounds. The mom dog belongs to someone who lives in a rural area, and unfortunately, they did not get her spayed before a stray dog came to visit. They believe the father of the pups is Harley, a 3 year-old tri-colored Basset mix male who is also here with us. We were contacted by a local rescuer for help with them and agreed to take the pups and papa Harley as long as they make sure that the mom dog is spayed as soon as possible to prevent another unwanted litter. Samoa’s foster family reports that he is a very smart pup and learns new things quickly. He’s in a foster home with a large dog and kitties too and gets along with everyone. Samoa is working on housetraining in his foster home and is doing well with pee pads. He’s going to be a big boy—we expect he will be 60+ pounds when full-grown. His adoption fee is $275. Samoa is neutered, wormed, on heartworm preventative, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Samoa. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We try to respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
