This handsome little gentleman is Simon, a 1 year-old Chihuahua/Doxie/JRT mix (in other words, we don’t know for sure!). He is reminiscent of a mini-Cattledog too so is a true Heinz-57. Simon came into a rural county dog shelter as a stray with a wound on the top of his head. We don’t know what kind of trouble he ran into when out on his own but that is healing nicely now and won’t cause him problems in the future. Simon gets along well with other dogs of all sizes and has been very quiet and well-mannered in his foster home. He loves napping in his crate after playtime is over and keeps his crate spotless. He may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. Simon trots along nicely on a leash and will make a great little hiking or walking pal for someone who wants an active but small dog. Simon weighs about 16 pounds and his adoption fee is $200. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Simon. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 4-5 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
