Spuds is an adorable 8-9 week old pup who was born on August 5. His mom, Suzy Q, is a beautiful 9-10 pound Doxie/Sheltie mix female (see one pic of Suzy Q here) who came to us from a county dog shelter about a week before Spuds was born. The shelter didn’t realize she was pregnant but our vet did an x-ray when she arrived at Canine Lifeline at the end of July and saw that she was due to deliver one pup within a week or so. At 8-9 weeks old, Spuds already weighs about 4.5 pounds so is going to be bigger than his mom once he’s full-grown–we’re guessing somewhere in the 20-25 pound range. We have no idea who Spuds’ papa is but we suspect he might have some Terrier in his family tree as he’s got a bit of a scruffy face. Spuds is an absolute doll and a typical playful pup. He enjoys playing with other dogs, kitties, toys, and people too. Spuds is NOT housetrained yet and will need to work on that in his adoptive home. He has done well using pee pads in his foster home so should be able to make the transition to going outside without much trouble. Spuds will need a family who has plenty of time to work with him on housetraining. He will need to go outside every 2-3 hours during the day as he works on his house manners and cannot be left alone for long workdays. His adoption fee is $350. He’s neutered, on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Spuds. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children less than 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.

Spuds is the cutest little guy! His scruffy little face looks like there is some terrier in his family tree! He is a little cutie who loves to be held…likes to play but isn’t real sure about what a leash is all about yet! A real sweetheart for a lucky family!
I met Spuds at his photo shoot. He’s a very sweet, adorable puppy who will make some lucky family a great pet
