Tug-PENDING

Tug was one of a litter of unsocialized Corgi/Spaniel mix pups who came into a county dog shelter in February. He has the long, short frame of a Corgi but with a scruffy coat more reminiscent of a Schnauzer. He came to Canine Lifeline along with his sisters Tabitha and Taffy so they could take their time finding the perfect new homes. Tug has been doing great since he arrived here with us. He’s still shy in new situations but it doesn’t take him long to let his guard down once he knows someone wants to make friends with him. He does seek out attention from his human friends now and is very sweet and affectionate. Tug gets along well with other dogs so would do best in a home with a calm, confident dog to help him adjust to his new surroundings. Having another dog to shadow will also help with his housetraining. Going into a new home will be a little scary for him so he will need a kind and patient, dog-experienced person or family to help him adjust to his new life. Tug is about 6 months-old now and weighs about 13 pounds. He is expected to be 20-25 pounds when full-grown. His adoption fee is $200. He’s neutered, on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Tug. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 4-5 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there. TUG IS AVAILABLE FOR A LOCAL NORTHEAST OH ADOPTION ONLY.
