Vinny-ADOPTED!

Vinny is a sweet and lovable Beagle mix who is as cute as they come. Our vet thinks he’s about 5 years-old but the shelter he came from listed him as 8. Since he was a stray we don’t know for sure but he’s likely somewhere in that range. It’s hard enough to end up at an overcrowded county shelter but on top of that, Vinny tested positive for heartworms there making it almost impossible for him to find a new home. Fortunately, we were contacted for help with him so Vinny packed his bags and made the trip to Canine Lifeline for the lifesaving treatment that he needs. Vinny started his two-month long heartworm treatment the week of November 28 and did very well so is now ready to find a permanent new home. He was a trooper for his two month-long crate rest and limited activity during his recuperation period but now is ready to have some fun. Vinny gets along great with other dogs so would enjoy having a canine pal or two in his new home. He’s a chubby little guy at almost 25 pounds so, now that he can be more active, needs some daily walks to try to lose a few pounds. He’s been a perfect guest in his foster home–quiet, well-mannered–just a little gentleman. Vinny’s adoption fee is $125. He’s neutered, on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Vinny. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. All of our dogs come to us from county dog pounds so we have no history on them. We also have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 4-5 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there. Vinny’s heartworm treatment cost about $600. If you’d like to make a donation to help with his care so that we are able to save another dog in the future, please do so on our website at www.caninelifeline.org or by sending a check to Canine Lifeline, PO Box 25742, Garfield Hts OH 44125. Thank you from Vinny and Canine Lifeline!
