Bonnie is a lovely 5 year-old Beagle mix who has a great personality and is very friendly with all people that she meets. This chubby girl has obviously enjoyed a few too many treats in her lifetime though and has not been wanting for food. We don’t know anything about her past but she would love a home where she can go on a diet and exercise program to lose those extra 5-10 pounds. Adopt Bonnie and she’ll make sure you stick to your daily exercise schedule. She needs an exercise buddy and there’s nothing like a dog to keep you moving and help you stick to a daily routine. Bonnie gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home but can be selective about making friends with new dogs she meets on walks. An obedience class with her new family would help her develop her canine social skills in addition to learning some commands and leash manners. She does have a high prey drive and shows aggression towards cats so must have a kitty-free home. Bonnie has excellent crate manners and may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. She was perfectly behaved for her bath at Petco and loved all of the attention. Bonnie currently weighs 43 pounds and her adoption fee is $200. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Bonnie. An approved application is required before we set up meets with any of our dogs. All of our dogs come to us from county dog pounds so we have no history on them. We have no foster homes with young children so won’t place any of our dogs in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
Bonnie-ADOPTED!

I am Bonnie’s new forever Dad. She is such a great dog. Very well mannered in the house and loves all people. She will be spoiled for many years to come. Can’t thank all the volunteers at Canine Lifeline enough.
Looking for lots of kisses? This is the dog for you. I got to spend some time with her yesterday at Petco. She knows sit and down. She seemed great with all the people who came to visit with her yesterday. While we were outside, she was willing to hop up into my car thinking she was going for a ride. She would be good dog for a family without other dogs. She did some barking at one of the other rescues but was getting better at being “side tracked” when I knew the other dog was around. With some work, she would make a wonderful companion to her forever home.
Bonnie! Happy girl to get her walks and even though I used to think of her as a little “tank,” just plowing ahead, she’s coming along in her walking manners and even sits politely for a treat! She’s looking ahead to the day she can walk into her forever home!
Bonnie loves attention from her human friends but she’s not thrilled with all canine friends. From my experience fostering her, she would do best in a home as an only dog, with a fenced in area outside. She loves to be outside, to look under the fence and watch what’s going on in the parking lot. She barks to protect her territory when neighborhood dogs walk by. She is very food motivated and is protective of that food around other dogs! She loves to be petted, scratched on the back and snuggling on the couch. She is very well-behaved in her crate, never had an accident! She is a sweetie with her human friends!
Bonnie is such a little sweetheart. I had a great time walking her around petco, and, she loved when I’d stop and call her, and she would come to me for a pet, and lick me in return. She is a cute pup and so ready to go to her own loving forever home,,,which I hope happens very soon!
I love Bonnie. I walked her and bathed her at Petco on Fri. She is a pup who responded nicely to pets and was even cooperative for her bath! She is gorgeous just the way she is, but, as my vet tells me about my own dogs, that I always heed, “a slim dog is a healthy dog”, and I would love to see her committed and loving new home help her slowly, with daily walks, and appropriate portions, slim down to a healthier weight. Bonnie still loved her walk though,,,she just also seemed to be happy when I let her back in her crate to rest a minute!. SHe is adorable. I hope a family falls in love with this little cutie and gives her a loving forever home very soon. Bonnie will be so happy and be their bff!
Bonnie is a really sweet girl with such a beautiful face. She is so happy to be given attention and affection. She is sure to be a loyal companion to her new people forever!
Bonnie is a stocky girl so a bit big for her breed. She did OK on the leash but definitely was excited to go for a walk and get out of Petco and the crates for a bit today. She has very interesting markings and loved getting attention from the volunteers. She went back into her crate well and was quiet when some of the other dogs were barking.
