Cookie is a lovable 1 year-old Boxer mix female with the most velvety soft coat and a charming underbite. We’re not sure what else might be in the mix but perhaps some Hound or Lab given her cute floppy ears. She came into an overcrowded county dog shelter as a stray so we have no history on her previous life. In spite of being a youngster, she has been very well-mannered in her foster home. She loves to play with other dogs but settles down nicely in her crate for a snooze after playtime is over. Cookie has had some training as she will sit for a treat and walks nicely on a leash for a young dog. On the trip up to Canine Lifeline, Cookie rode nicely in the car so might enjoy regular road trips with her new family. This girl is very eager to please, loved having her pictures taken, and has a great attention span. Working with her on obedience training should be a very rewarding experience. She’s looking forward to meeting her new family soon so she can start having lots of fun adventures. Cookie weighs about 40 pounds and her adoption fee is $200. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Cookie. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. All of our dogs come to us from county dog pounds so we have no history on them. We also have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 4-5 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
Cookie-ADOPTED!
Posted in: Adopted!
Cookie is a sweet, somewhat shy medium sized dog. She was giving people kisses and enjoyed hanging out with the volunteers and going for a walk. She did sit on command so she may know some basic commands or may be easy or eager to learn. She walked well on a leash and seemed to have a mild and friendly manner.
Cookie is a really lovely dog. She is surprisingly calm for a young dog and she’s eager to please. She is also a smart girl who should be easily trained.
She’s affectionate and lovable well.
In all, she is a really great dog who would be a wonderful addition to an active family. She is waiting a loving, secure “forever” home of her own.
