Dash-ADOPTED!

If you’re looking for the perfect dog, you’re going to want to meet Dash! This 2 year-old Boxer/Mountain Cur mix has a sad story to tell though. He was living as an outdoor dog in his home in KY when somehow his owner ran over his front leg with a lawn mower. His owner surrendered him to the local humane society where it was determined that his leg could not be saved so it was amputated in early October. After his surgery, Dash went into a foster home there to recuperate. We were contacted about him to see if we could find this sweet boy a safe, loving new home so he made the trip to Canine Lifeline. His previous foster mom reported that Dash gets along extremely well with other dogs, cats too, and is friendly with everyone he meets. While there are no cats in his Canine Lifeline foster home, he has been wonderful with other dogs of all sizes since he’s been with us. He seems to be housetrained too and keeps his crate spotless. Dash is very affectionate with his human friends and is going to make an outstanding companion for one very lucky person or family. Missing a leg doesn’t slow this boy down at all! Dash weighs about 55 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Dash. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
