Edison-PENDING

Edison and Einstein are two 12-week old fluffy brothers who were found abandoned in a KY parking lot about two months ago. They were taken to the local shelter at about 5 weeks of age and were initially in a foster home in KY before making the trip to Canine Lifeline to begin the search for their forever homes. Their breed mix is truly anyone’s guess. The shelter paperwork says Poodle mix but we’re more inclined to go with Westie and Aussie as the two predominant breeds although that is purely a guess. Their coats are soft, not wiry. These two are little dynamos and always on the go. They are very smart, resourceful, and enterprising pups–able to figure new things out quickly. Their activity level suggests they might be great candidates to do agility at some point. Both are doing very well in their current foster home on housetraining and learning to sit for a treat. They are sharing their foster home with a large dog who they like as well as kitties who they also get along well with. We’d love to see them go to homes with another dog to play with. They thrive on activity and neither would be happy as an only dog alone for extended periods of time. Edison weighs about 10 pounds now but may be 30-40+ when full-grown–also a guess! His adoption fee is $350. He’s neutered, on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Edison. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
