Ivory is a gorgeous 2-3 year-old Collie mix female who’s very quiet and well-mannered. She was abandoned at a boarding kennel and made the trip to Canine Lifeline to find a great new family to love. Unfortunately, Ivory tested positive for heartworms and she started the lifesaving treatment she needs at the end of August. Her heartworm disease is a bit more advanced than most of the dogs we’ve treated. Her treatment protocol has been altered to try and avoid complications. This means a longer recovery time and she won’t be available for adoption until November. Ivory is a little bashful about meeting new people but is a very gentle and kind dog. She gets along well with other dogs but prefers her canine companions on the quiet side too. She’d be the perfect companion for a more mature household where she could go for nice walks everyday and then relax on the couch with her human pals. She’s crate-trained and may be housetrained as well. Ivory weighs about 40 pounds and her adoption fee is $200. She’s spayed, current on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Ivory. Ivory’s heartworm treatment will cost about $450. Donations to help with her medical care are much appreciated and will allow us to continue to help other dogs in need. You may make a donation through Paypal on our website or send a check to Canine Lifeline, PO Box 25742, Garfield Hts OH 44125. Thank you from Ivory and Canine Lifeline!
