You can look far and wide but you won’t find a sweeter dog than Jonesy. This handsome 5 year-old Shepherd mix male has Rottie markings but double dewclaws suggesting there may be some Great Pyrenees in the mix too. He came into a rural county dog shelter in January and had no luck finding a home there so made the trip to Canine Lifeline so he would have more time to work on that. The shelter raved about what a nice dog he is and he has not disappointed! Jonesy is calm, gentle, and very easy-going. He gets along with everyone he meets and is sweet and submissive with other dogs. Having been in the shelter for a couple of months, he will likely need some work on housetraining in his new home but he has done very well in his crate in his foster home. Jonesy would love to be your walking buddy and then join you on the couch for some R&R afterwards. He’s going to be so grateful to the person or family who gives him a second chance at a happy life. Jonesy weighs about 56 pounds and his adoption fee is $200. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Jonesy. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 4-5 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
