Kiefer is a handsome 10 month-old pup who looks like a miniature Border Collie/Shepherd mix. He has a very pretty coat with rich brown highlights. He came into a county dog shelter with Ebony who looks to be his sister. Kiefer and Ebony are pals in their foster home but don’t need to be adopted together. Kiefer is a little shy at first meeting new people and is much more confident when he’s around another dog so we do want to place him in a home where he will have a canine friend to show him the ropes. He is working on crate-training and housetraining in his foster home and will need to continue both in his new home. Kiefer hasn’t had much experience on a leash yet but with some patient and consistent training along with the help of another confident dog, he will soon be walking like a pro. Kiefer weighs about 22 pounds and his adoption fee is $200. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Kiefer. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 4-5 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
