Nelson-ADOPTED!

Looking for a big dog who fancies himself as a lap dog? That’s our Nelson, a 2 year-old St. Bernard/Shepherd mix male, who just could not be any sweeter. Nelson weighs about 79 pounds now but is thin and is working on gaining 10-20 pounds to be at his ideal weight of 90-100. We have no history on this sweet boy but he is very eager to please and super food-motivated. He will sit and shake hands for a treat and can catch treats on the fly like a pro. Nelson gets along great with other dogs but can be protective of his food around them at mealtime so if there are other dogs in the home, they should be fed separately. He seems to be fine with cats and pretty much ignores them. Nelson especially loves being close to his human friends. During his photo shoot, he jumped right up on the little bench to sit next to his friend. Nelson loves to cuddle and will happily keep his family very cozy on cold winter nights. His adoption fee is $200. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Nelson. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs.  All of our dogs come to us from county dog pounds so we have no history on them. We also have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 4-5 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
