Noah’s a sweet and loving 5 year-old Doxie mix male who was surrendered to a county dog shelter by his family who could no longer keep him. He made the trip to Canine Lifeline so he could enjoy life in a foster home while he searched for a permanent new home. Noah is a little shy at first when meeting new people and may be a little more timid with men initially than with women. He’s very treat motivated though so the way to this boy’s heart is definitely through his tummy. Once he feels comfortable with someone, he’s extremely devoted and a real Velcro dog. Noah has excellent crate manners so is likely to be housetrained although we can’t guarantee that. He gets along very well with the other dogs in his foster home so might enjoy having a small canine pal in his new home. Noah weighs about 18 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Noah. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
Noah-ADOPTED!

Final update from weekend foster – he did great overall. He wanted so badly to play with my female pup and she let him run around her in circles for a bit outside. He was having a blast. We went for a few short walks. He did much better on a leash than he did yesterday. I think I also taught him to sit. He knows to come when called and knows down and no. He’s such a lover and enjoys jumping on my laps. He does well on a car ride. I was sad to see him go back but have to work all week. I hope a great person gives him a chance.
Morning update – he did amazing on his crate last night. You have to push his little butt in a bit but he went right to sleep with only a few quiet cries but then he was out. NO accidents in his crate from 10-6. He peed and pooed as soon as I took him out this AM. He was so happy this AM to see me. He ate, cuddled a bit on my lap, played a bit, walked around my fenced yard and just enjoyed our time together. He is now downstairs curled up on my couch taking a nap while my dogs are outside.
I am fostering him for today and tomorrow over the weekend. He was very shy around me at first but warmed up within a few hours. He’s very excited to go outside or on walks. He likes food and treats. He likes a tennis ball and was really funny chasing it. He likes my dogs but they are bigger and older so don’t really want anything to do with him but he’s very dog friendly. He warmed up to my boyfriend right away, no fear at all other than the first few minutes when they met. He loves to give kisses and just climbed on my lap while I was writing this. No accidents in his crate but he’d much rather be out in the activity. He’s a sweet boy.
