This little beauty is Pixie, a 1 year-old girl who looks like a mix of Aussie and Cattledog with maybe a little Beagle thrown in the mix too. She has a gorgeous soft coat, beautiful markings, and a little bobtail. Pixie came into a rural county dog shelter as a stray and, when she wasn’t claimed, made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she could enjoy life in a foster home while she waited for her permanent home. Pixie has really been a delightful dog in her foster home. She gets along very well with other dogs, is sweet and kind with people, and has excellent crate manners. While she loves to play hard in the snow with her fellow foster dogs, she settles down nicely in her crate for a snooze after playtime is over. Pixie can be a little shy and submissive in new situations but it doesn’t take her long to warm up and make friends. Once she’s comfortable with someone, she’s a Velcro dog! Pixie keeps her crate spotless so may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. Once she has some basic obedience under her belt and gains a little more confidence, she might enjoy trying her paws at agility. Pixie weighs about 30 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. Since coming to Canine Lifeline, she has had a dental cleaning and now flashes a pearly white smile. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Pixie. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
