Sassafras is a sweet and loving 2 year-old Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier mix female who was found as a stray in a rural area. When no one claimed her at the shelter, she made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she would have more time to find the perfect new home. Sassafras has been a very good girl in her foster home. She gets along very well with other dogs and is also very affectionate with her human friends. She does well in a crate so should pick up the housetraining rules quickly in her new home. Sassafras weighs about 13 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Sassafras. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
