Spice is an adorable 10 week old Rat Terrier mix pup who came to Canine Lifeline along with her mom Sydney (tri-colored girl shown in two pics) and her two brothers Astro and Orbit. This little family was found abandoned in a rural area and made their way to the local shelter. From there, they went into a foster home before making the trip to Canine Lifeline to find themselves great new homes. When the pups arrived here in early December, they were still very thin and scrawny weighing only about 2-3 pounds but with lots of TLC and good food, they have really blossomed in their foster home. Spice weighed 8 pounds on 12-27-17 when she was spayed so we expect she will likely be a bit bigger than her 25 pound mom. We suspect papa must have been a bit of a bigger dog but we have no idea what her breed mix on that side of the family is. When adopting a mixed-breed pup, you must be prepared for just about anything! Spice is a typical puppy who loves to play with toys, her brothers, and her human friends. She loves to curl up on someone’s lap for a power nap after playtime is over. Her adoption fee is $350. She’s spayed, on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Spice. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
