Taffy-ADOPTED!

Taffy is one of a litter of unsocialized Corgi/Spaniel mix pups who came into a county dog shelter in February. She went into a foster home with her sister Tabitha for a month before the two pups along with their brother Tug came to Canine Lifeline to work on finding permanent new homes. Taffy was the shyest of the pups and the one who has been the slowest to warm up to people. She is still shy and hangs back when the other two seek attention from people. If you sit down on the ground with her though, she’ll sweetly crawl in your lap for some hugs. Taffy gets along well with other dogs so would do best in a home with a calm, confident dog to help her adjust to her new surroundings. Having another dog to shadow will also help with her housetraining. She was very shy when we took her pictures so looks even sweeter and prettier in person. She has a very interesting face with a black muzzle and a soft and silky coat. She needs a dog-experienced person or family who can be very patient with her as she adjusts to her new life. Taffy is about 6 months-old now and weighs about 13 pounds. She is expected to be 20-25 pounds when full-grown. Her adoption fee is $200. She’s spayed, on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Taffy. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 4-5 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there. TAFFY IS AVAILABLE FOR A LOCAL NORTHEAST OH ADOPTION ONLY.
