Abby is an adorable 1 year-old Chihuahua/Pug mix female with a charming underbite and sweet disposition. She was abandoned in a rural area with 3 other small adult dogs and 3 puppies likely by a backyard breeder who didn’t want them anymore. Fortunately, all the dogs were eventually recovered and two of the adults (Abby and Atom) along with two of the pups (not yet ready for adoption) came to Canine Lifeline to have time to relax and find new homes. Abby was very shy and reserved when she first came to us but after what she’d been through, that was no surprise. She is very relaxed now with her foster mom and always has a bright smile and a tail wag when she sees her. Abby gets along well with other dogs her size and especially likes her pal Atom so might enjoy having another little canine pal in her new home. She has excellent crate manners and may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. With a kind and patient family who’ll give Abby the time she needs to feel comfortable in her new surroundings, she’s going to blossom and be a fantastic companion for years to come. Abby weighs about 9 pounds and her adoption fee is $200. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Abby. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. All of our dogs come to us from county dog pounds so we have no history on them. We also have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 4-5 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
