Looking to pick up the pace at your house? Ace is here to help! This active, energetic, and very lovable 9-10 month-old Black Lab mix pup is looking for a new family to love. We don’t have any history on Ace as he came to us as a stray from a county dog shelter but we’ve found him to be a very dog and people friendly boy. He does have a lot of energy so is going to need an active and energetic family who has plenty of time to spend training, exercising, and playing with him. Ace LOVES toys of all kinds. He was super excited about the squeaky toys that we were using when his photos were taken. He would love nothing more than an overflowing toy box in his new home. Ace has done well with crate-training in his foster home so we expect he should be able to pick up the housetraining routine quickly in his new home. He has not had much obedience training yet so will need work on his commands and leash manners. Ace is very food-motivated though and eager to please so should be fun to work with. He can be quite vocal when he wants something so probably wouldn’t do well in an apartment or condo setting. Ace would love having a big yard with an aboveground fence so he can play to his heart’s content. A canine buddy would be fun for him too. He weighs about 50 pounds and will likely be 60+ once he’s full-grown. His adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Ace. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under the age of 7 years. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
