This beautiful 3 year-old Husky/Shepherd mix girl is Allie. According to the shelter that sent her to us, Allie had been neglected for quite some time. She was living in a garage and receiving only sporadic attention from her male owner who she was very afraid of. After she was surrendered to the shelter, she went into a foster home with a volunteer so she could relax and begin to understand how wonderful a dog’s life could and should be. After a month or so there, Allie made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she could begin looking for a new person or family to spend the rest of her life with. Allie has been with us about a month now and is ready to begin the next chapter of her life. She is still quite shy when meeting new people—more so with men—but there’s not a mean bone in her body. We’d love to see Allie go to a home where there is another calm dog to help show her the ropes. A quiet, mature home without a lot of activity would be perfect for her. Since she’s on the shy side, a home with an aboveground fenced yard would be ideal for her. Allie has excellent crate manners so may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. She’s going to make an outstanding companion for someone who has the time and patience to allow her to adjust to her new environment at her own pace. Allie weighs about 41 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Allie. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so won’t place any of our dogs in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
