Alvin-ADOPTED!

This charming little man is Alvin, a 5 month-old Beagle mix who is as sweet and huggable as he is cute. Alvin was adopted from a shelter but returned when his adopters realized a puppy was a lot of work. From the shelter, he made the trip to Canine Lifeline so he could take his time finding a true permanent home. Alvin is a typical puppy who loves everyone and everything. He loves playing with other dogs of all sizes so would definitely enjoy having a canine buddy in his new home. In his foster home, he’s a little shy about going outside by himself but when another dog can go out with him, he’s much more confident and eager to play and explore. Alvin also likes cuddling with his human friends. Once playtime is over, he loves being carried around and settles nicely in someone’s arms. Alvin loves toys of all kinds so would enjoy having a big toy box with lots of toys to choose from in his new home. He has been working on crate-training in his foster home and doing well with that. He will need to continue that in his adoptive home and with some patient and consistent positive training on the part of his new family, should soon have the house rules mastered. Like all pups, Alvin is going to need lots of training, exercise, and continued socialization so a person or family who is home much of the time would be perfect for him. He wouldn’t do well left alone for long workdays. Alvin has been working on leash walking and doing very well with that! Alvin weighs in at about 20 pounds currently and we expect he may be about 30-35 pounds once full-grown. His adoption fee is $350. He’s neutered, on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Alvin. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
