Angel-ADOPTED!

Angel is a sweet and loving 11 year-old spayed female Poodle with no tail who was surrendered to a county dog shelter by her elderly owner who could no longer care for her. Angel was understandably sad and confused to have her lost her home so made the trip from the shelter to Canine Lifeline so she could relax in a foster home while searching for a new home. This girl was definitely pampered in her previous home, so much so that she’s put on a few too many pounds and now needs a new person or family who will make sure she gets the healthy diet and daily exercise she needs to shed those extra pounds. In spite of her excess weight, Angel is quite lively and spry for her age. She can jump on the couch in her foster home—although it takes a running start and sometimes a few tries to get there. Angel HATES being crated unless she can be crated with another little canine buddy. She was used to sleeping in her owner’s bed in her previous home and immediately made herself comfortable doing the same in her foster home so will need a new home where that will be allowed. Angel gets along well with other dogs of all sizes but isn’t shy about telling younger dogs to back off if they get too rowdy with her. She is housetrained and walks nicely on a leash. Angel loves snuggling with her human friends and makes a terrific lap dog. We can’t wait to see her making herself at home with her new people and getting back to a healthy weight so she can live her very best life in the years to come. Angel weighs about 22 pounds but needs to lose 5-7 pounds to reach her ideal weight. Her adoption fee is $125. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. Just before coming to us, Angel had a dental cleaning at the shelter. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Angel. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
