Ariel-ADOPTED!

Looking to pick up the pace at your house? Ariel, our 10 month-old Feist/All-American Mutt mix is up to the challenge! This adorable and very outgoing pup was at an overcrowded rural county dog shelter before coming to Canine Lifeline to find herself the perfect new home. While we don’t have any history on Ariel’s pre-shelter life, we have found this girl to be an absolute delight—active, energetic, affectionate, and super playful! She is going to need an active family who can match her energy level and make sure she has plenty of opportunity for exercise, mental stimulation, and training each day. Ariel loves other dogs so would certainly enjoy having a playful canine buddy in her new home. She seems to respond to the sit command when offered a tasty treat (at least most of the time!) and is eager to learn lots more in her new home. Ariel hasn’t had much leash work to date as she’s all over the place when on a walk. She loves to explore so it’s just a matter of daily practice and experience to get her more comfortable on a leash. Ariel has done well with crate-training in her foster home so we expect she should be able to master the house rules quickly in her new home. This girl LOVES toys of all kinds so would enjoy having an overflowing toy box in her new home. Ariel met the resident kitty at the vet clinic and was very curious and attempted to play with her although the kitty wasn’t interested in engaging with Ariel. This fabulous young dog is going to make an outstanding companion for the person or family who has the time to spend with an active, energetic, enthusiastic pup. Ariel weighs about 24 pounds and her adoption fee is $375. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. The bandages on her back paws in the photos are from having her dewclaws removed during her spay. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Ariel. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
