Scruffy dog lovers are going to be wild about our boy Arlo! This adorable 2 year-old who looks like a mix of Cairn Terrier and Yorkie found himself homeless and made the trip to Canine Lifeline so he could take his time finding the perfect new home. Arlo is all Terrier—fearless, opinionated, and very confident. He’s also been very friendly with all people that he’s met since coming to us and is good with other dogs too. Arlo is not shy about expressing his displeasure when things are not to his liking so wouldn’t do well left alone in an apartment or condo for long workdays. He likes to be the center of attention so would enjoy having his humans around a lot of the time. Arlo has had excellent crate manners in his foster home and is likely to be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. He enjoys going for a walk and certainly has enough spunk to keep up with the big dogs. He’s be a great walking or hiking buddy for someone who wants a small but active canine companion. Arlo weighs about 13 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Arlo. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under the age of 7 years. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
