Meet Augie, a handsome and confident 5 month-old Collie/Cattledog mix pup with a very soft spotted coat. This sweet pup found himself homeless at an overcrowded rural county dog shelter and made the trip to Canine Lifeline to work on finding his perfect new home. Everyone who meets Augie is immediately a fan. He’s very friendly with everyone he meets, including other dogs, so would enjoy having a canine buddy in his new home. He might also be fine as the only dog in the home provided his family has lots of time to spend with him. He’s a very playful pup but does settle down nicely in his crate for a nap when playtime is over. Augie has done well with crate-training in his foster home and provided he is able to get outside about every four hours or so during the day, should do well with the housetraining routine in his new home. He’s a very smart pup who is eager to learn and would love to go through some obedience traininng with his new family. He’s up for lots of adventures and would make an excellent trail buddy for an active person or family. Augie weighs about 31 pounds and is expected to be about 45-50 pounds when full-grown. His adoption fee is $350. He’s neutered, on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Augie. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children less than 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
