Ava-ADOPTED!

Ava is an adorable 11 week old (born in mid-November 2019) Blue Heeler pup. She was one of a litter of 9 pups who came to Canine Lifeline in early January after they were shelter-bound. A shelter volunteer offered to find a rescue for them so they wouldn’t have to stay in an overcrowded shelter so they made the trip to Canine Lifeline to work on finding perfect homes. We were told that the parents were purebred Heelers. We’re happy to report that the mom dog is now spayed so she won’t be adding to the dog overpopulation problem again. Ava and her litter mates are stunningly pretty pups. Their beautiful markings are reminiscent of works of art—the more you look at them, the more detail you see in their coats. Ava is a typically sweet friendly well-socialized pup who loves to play, explore, and snuggle with her human friends and siblings. Blue Heelers are smart working dogs who do need lots of exercise, attention, and training. They make excellent hiking partners and can excel at agility too. Ava is NOT yet housetrained so will need a family who is able to let her outside every couple of hours or so during the day as she works on that. She would not do well left alone for long workdays. Puppies are adorable but please make sure you have the time, energy, and patience to devote to socializing, training, and playing with a pup before submitting an application to adopt. Ava weighed about 6.5 pounds when she was spayed on Jan 22 and we expect she will be about 35-40 pounds once full-grown. Her adoption fee is $350. She’s spayed, on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Ava. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children less than 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
