Barkley

We just love this guy! Barkley is a 10 month-old Lab mix male with a little bit of an underbite suggesting there might be some Boxer in his family tree. He also has a curly tail so might have a little Pug in the mix too—who knows?–stranger things have happened! Barkley was surrendered to an overcrowded county dog shelter by his owner who no longer care for him. We don’t know what circumstances led to Barkley losing his home but he has been an absolute delight in his foster home. Barkley loves playing with other dogs so would enjoy having a canine pal in his new home or making regular trips to doggie daycare. He is very polite with people and tends to keep his paws on the ground. He will sit when asked and walks nicely on a leash. Barkley keeps his crate spotless and may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. We think once you meet this sweet dog, that you’re going to be as impressed with him as we are! Barkley weighs about 40 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Barkley. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
