Beanie

If you’re looking for a snuggler, Beanie might just be your new best friend! This adorable 2 year-old Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound mix (our best guess!) came into an overcrowded county dog shelter very underweight. He went into a foster home while the shelter searched for a rescue for him. His foster mom allowed him to sleep in bed with her and Beanie was in seventh heaven. He loves to snuggle under the covers so would enjoy being able to do that in his new home as well. Beanie is now in a foster home with Canine Lifeline while he searches for a permanent new home. Unfortunately, his current foster mom’s two dogs won’t allow Beanie to sleep under the covers so he has gotten used to sleeping in a crate at night and burrowing in his blankets. Beanie is a very friendly little guy who’s working on gaining weight in his foster home. He’s got a great appetite so it shouldn’t be long before he goes from his current weight of about 7.5 pounds to his ideal weight of 9-10 pounds. Beanie gets along well with other small dogs so probably wouldn’t mind sharing his home with other little canines. He will likely need a little work on housetraining in his new home but should be able to catch on to the house rules fairly quickly. His adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Beanie. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
