Bella-ADOPTED!

Bella is a gorgeous 8 month-old Border Collie mix (with the emphasis on mix!) with beautiful markings and a soft and shiny coat. She was surrendered to an overcrowded county dog shelter by her owner who could no longer care for her. We don’t know what type of life Bella had before coming to the shelter but it looks like she was well-cared for although it seems that she hasn’t had much obedience training to date. She’s very affectionate with people but does like to jump up for attention so is working on learning that all good things come to pups who keep four paws on the ground. Bella is also very strong on the leash and will need some work on her leash manners. Walking her with a harness, particularly an Easy Walk Harness, will be helpful as she gains more experience on the leash. Bella has had excellent crate manners since coming to us so may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee that. She has gotten along well with all the other dogs she’s met since coming to us. Bella has a great disposition and is going to make an outstanding companion for one very lucky person or family. Bella currently weighs about 39 pounds but may be about 45 pounds once full-grown. Her adoption fee is $325. Bella is spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Bella. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
