Beauty more than lives up to her name! This lovely 3-4 year-old Great Pyrenees/Border Collie (at least that’s our best guess!) mix female has a pretty and very soft tan and white coat plus a very fluffy tail. She was adopted from us about a year ago but recently returned because her family had a baby and said they no longer had time for her. Beauty is faced with starting over again but she is up to the challenge. In her previous home, she lived with other dogs and apparently did fine with them. She does well now with her fellow foster dogs when playing outside in a fenced yard. Her foster home is in a rural area so there are no close neighbors or other dogs walking by on a leash. We have found that Beauty can be leash reactive with dogs in some situations so might not do well in a home where she would constantly be meeting new dogs on leash. Beauty also seems to have a high prey drive as she met cats at the vet clinic and showed aggressive behavior toward them so will need a cat-free home. She would not do well with an invisible fence and needs a yard with an aboveground fence. She is housetrained, crate-trained, knows some commands including sit, down, stay, heel, and also walks nicely on a leash as long as there are no distractions. Beauty loves riding in the car, toys of all kinds, and is a great snuggler! She’s got lots of energy though so would love a home where her family is around much of the time so she can go on lots of walks, hikes, and jogs with them. Beauty is a very sweet girl with people but does need an owner who has the experience to work with a strong-willed dog. Beauty weighs about 58 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Beauty. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so won’t place any of our dogs in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
