Billie

Billie is a gorgeous 2.5 year-old Aussie/Collie mix female who was found as a stray and taken to the local shelter. Once her stray hold was up, Billie made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she could enjoy life in a foster home while searching for her permanent new home. Billie is one very active, energetic young dog who acts like a big overgrown puppy. While she’s extremely friendly and outgoing with both people and other dogs, it’s apparent that she hasn’t had much training to date. Billie is going to need a home with an active person or family who has lots of time to spend with her on obedience as well as making sure she gets plenty of daily exercise. Billie needs a big yard with a secure aboveground fence and another dog to play with so she can blow off some steam every day. Daily walks will not be enough exercise for her. Billie also needs work on her leash manners as she’s all over the place on a walk. Using a harness with her helps tremendously as she works on her leash skills. Billie does settle down nicely in her crate once she’s had enough exercise and may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee that. If you’ve got the space, time, and energy to devote to an enthusiastic, rambunctious young dog, this girl is going to make an outstanding companion once she’s mastered some obedience skills. Billie weighs about 45 pounds and her adoption fee is $325. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Billie. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
