This little pipsqueak is Blossom, a beautiful 8 month-old Chihuahua mix female with a bobtail who is very tiny at only 6 pounds. Her owner lost her home so Blossom was headed to the shelter until a volunteer offered to foster her and find her and her two canine pals a rescue so they could avoid staying in the overcrowded shelter. All three dogs made their way to Canine Lifeline and are enjoying life in a foster home while they search for permanent new homes. Blossom gets along well with other small dogs in her foster home. She is so tiny that we haven’t introduced her to medium to large dogs yet but she acts pretty spunky and fearless so would probably do fine. She is working on crate-training and housetraining in her foster home and will need to continue both in her permanent home. Blossom is very playful and loves to run and wrestle with other dogs but does settle down nicely for a nap in her crate after playtime is over. Small dog lovers are going to be head over heels for this girl! Her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Blossom. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
