Bolt-ADOPTED!

Bolt is a super-sweet boy with the cutest puppy face! This little 10-month-old Terrier mix found himself looking for a new home at an overcrowded county dog shelter and made the trip to Canine Lifeline so he could relax in a foster home while searching for the best new home. Bolt is so friendly and just loves attention from his human and canine pals. He likes to give you “hugs” and will never turn down a neck scratch or belly rub. A lot of things seem new to Bolt and he can get slightly startled when he experiences new noises or situations for the first time. Now that he is settling in at his foster home, he is definitely learning all about being a dog! Toys seemed like a new concept to him at first, but he is now starting to love toys of all kinds. He has been enjoying going after plush toys in the back yard and chewing on a nylabone as he winds down for the evening. Bolt might enjoy a secure above ground fence as he gets little bouts of the playful “zoomies” when he goes outside. Given that he does get a little startled at some noises, if he didn’t have a fence, he would need to be on a leash at all times as he learns all about this big world. Even though a lot is new to this guy, he is very smart and brave! He learned how to go down hardwood stairs to get outside in just one day. He walks amazing with a harness, especially for a youngster! Bolt really likes his canine foster brother and sister and has been fitting right in with the pack. He has been snuggling with his foster sister during the afternoon for a nap. He has had a couple potty accidents since he has been at his foster home, but that is likely due to the stress of adjusting to his new surroundings. Otherwise, he does his business quickly when he heads outside and hasn’t had any accidents in his crate. He sleeps through the night in his crate and although he is not a fan of the act of getting in there, he settles nicely when he is left alone. He is learning that the crate is a positive place with treats and chew toys. This guy would get along nicely with a smaller canine pal or two. Otherwise, he would probably be fine as the only dog if he had time to play and go on walks with his new family. Bolt is about as cute and friendly as they come! Bolt weighs about 10 pounds and his adoption fee is $350. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized.
