If you love little dogs with a BIG attitude, that’s our Bonita! This tiny 2 year-old Yorkie mix lady who weighs all of about 5-6 pounds is a very confident little girl who has been very friendly with everyone she’s met—dogs of all sizes included–since she’s been with us. Bonita tries to get everyone to play with her and seems to be comfortable playing with dogs MUCH larger than she is. She came to us from an overcrowded county dog shelter after they saved her from a neighboring high-kill pound. We have no history on her previous life but Bonita isn’t letting the fact that she’s currently without a permanent home get her down. She has a great attitude and is very appreciative of all of the attention and affection that comes her way. Bonita may need a little work on housetraining in her new home but she has been working on crate-training in her foster home and should continue that as well. This little dynamo does settle down for some snuggling after playtime is over but she has a lot of energy and, in spite of her small size, is going to need plenty of exercise each day. Her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Bonita. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
