Bridget is a super-cute 10-11 week old (born in early June) Chocolate Lab/Mountain Cur mix female who came to us along with her 5 siblings. We were notified about this litter by a shelter volunteer at a county dog pound that we work with. The owner of the mom dog reached out for help placing the pups and getting the mama dog spayed. We agreed to take the pups and find great homes for them and cover the cost of getting mama spayed—a win-win situation for all dogs involved! The pups will find great homes and the mom dog will not contribute any more pups to an already overcrowded world for dogs. The mom dog is a 40 pound Lab mix but the dad of the pups is a mystery. Based on the size and look of the pups, we suspect that they have some Mountain Cur in their family tree. Bridget has pretty tri-colored markings and is very friendly and affectionate with people. This sweet girl spends her days playing with her siblings and other foster puppies. After a long day of wrestling, playing chase, and tug-of-war, they are all tuckered out and ready for a snooze. Bridget is NOT housetrained yet and will need to work on that in her adoptive home. She will need a new family who has lots of time to devote to playing with her and working with her on housetraining and obedience. Bridget will need to go outside every 2-3 hours during the day as she works on her house manners. She cannot be left alone for long workdays. Bridget weighs about 7-8 pounds and is expected to be about 40 pounds when full-grown. Her adoption fee is $350. She’s spayed, on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Bridget. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children less than 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
