This handsome boy with the sky blue eyes is Buddy, a 1.5 year-old Yellow Lab/Husky mix male. He’s a very animated, alert, and attentive dog who enjoyed having his pictures taken. Buddy was turned into an overcrowded county dog shelter by his family who could no longer keep him. We don’t know what Buddy’s previous life was like but he has proven to be a very nice boy in his foster home. Buddy gets along well with other dogs and has been quite submissive when meeting new dogs. He seems to love meeting people and hasn’t shown any shyness in new situations. Buddy has excellent crate manners and is likely to be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. He knows some commands including ‘sit’ and ‘shake hands’ and possibly more that we haven’t discovered yet. Buddy will need some work on the leash as he’s usually raring to go and needs to learn to pace himself. This energetic young dog is going to make a fantastic companion for the person or family who has the time to exercise and train him. Buddy will reward you with years of devotion! Buddy weighs about 37 pounds and his adoption fee is $200. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Buddy. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. All of our dogs come to us from county dog pounds so we have no history on them. We also have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 4-5 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
