Caleb is a very sweet and loving 1.5 year-old Lab mix male who was found as a stray as a puppy in KY and kept for many months in an outdoor pen there. His owner finally realized this was no life for him and reached out to a local humane society for help finding a home for him. From there he made the trip to Canine Lifeline so he would be able to relax in a foster home while he searches for a permanent new home. Caleb has made great strides in his foster home but will need a kind and patient family to work with him as he adjusts to his new life. So many things are new to him. He really enjoys the company of other dogs so we do want to place him in a home with a confident canine who will show him the ropes. Caleb has done well with crate-training so should pick up the house rules quickly in his new home. He has been working on his leash skills and is getting much more comfortable with that. He now realizes that going for a walk is really fun! Caleb has a heart of gold and is going to make an outstanding companion for someone who has the time to work with him. He weighs about 50 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Caleb. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so won’t place any of our dogs in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
