Camilla is a gorgeous 2 year-old Beagle/Yellow Lab mix spayed female who came into an overcrowded county dog shelter along with two other dogs after her owner died. From there, the trio made the trip to Canine Lifeline so they could relax in a foster home while searching for permanent new homes. Her two buddies were quickly adopted but it was immediately apparent when Camilla arrived that there was an issue with her back legs. Our vet confirmed that her hips were in excellent shape but that she had luxating patellas (loose kneecaps) in both back legs. Camilla had surgery to repair both on Jan 10 and has been recovering in a foster home on crate rest for the last couple of weeks. She made an amazing recovery from the surgery and is now ready to find herself the perfect new home. Camilla is as sweet and friendly as she is beautiful. She gets along well with other dogs and has been very friendly with all people she’s met. She greets everyone with a bright smile and wagging tail. Camilla loves going for a walk and lots of short walks with her new family are in order as she continues to gain strength in her back legs post-surgery. She has excellent crate manners and should be able to pick up the house rules very quickly in her new home. We’re sure her new family is going to be as smitten with this wonderful girl as we are. Camilla’s photos were taken before she had her surgery. Camilla weighs about 30 pounds and her adoption fee is $350. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Camilla. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
