Cassidy is a beautiful Collie/Shepherd mix female who we estimate to be about 9 months to a year-old. She came into a rural county dog shelter with Clancy, who might be her littermate, and both made the trip to Canine Lifeline so they would be able to take their time finding perfect new homes. Cassidy can be a little shy at first in new situations but it doesn’t take her long to warm up and start having fun. She gets along well with other dogs so would likely enjoy having a canine pal in her new home. She also might be fine as the only dog in the home provided her family has lots of time to spend with her. Cassidy is doing well with crate-training in her foster home so should be able to pick up the house rules fairly quickly in her new home. She is just learning about leash walking but with daily practice she should soon be walking like a pro. Cassidy met the resident kitty at the vet clinic and seemed indifferent to her so might be fine living in a home with cats. This girl is going to blossom into an outstanding companion for the lucky person or family who can devote the time and energy to working with a young dog. Cassidy weighs about 35 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Cassidy. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age.
