Cay-ADOPTED!

Say hello to Cay, one of a litter of 9 pups who came to us from an overcrowded county dog shelter several weeks ago. This little family was surrendered by their owners and the shelter listed their breed mix as Beagle and Cattledog. They are about 3 months old now having been born in late May. Five of them including Cay, Cruz, Coral, and Captain Jack are much larger than the other 5 so we wonder if they had a different father than the others (Mindy, Millie, Magic, Murphy, and Marvel). We think there might be some Jack Russell or Mountain Cur in their family tree but all we can say definitively is that they’re little All-American mutts, the best kind of dog! The “C” puppies have been sharing a foster home together and spend their days wrestling and playing chase and tug-of-war with each other and getting lots of TLc from their foster family. They are so sweet and affectionate with people and love snuggling after a long day of playing. Cay is the most adventurous of the “C” pups. She has figured out how to climb out of a 3 foot tall exercise pen and go exploring. Cay would love to go to an obedience class with her new family so she can channel all of that puppy energy and smarts into a positive direction. The sky’s the limit for this clever girl! She is NOT yet housetrained so will need a family who is able to let her outside every 2-3 hours during the day as she works on her house manners. Being left alone for long workdays will not work for her. If you’ve got the time and energy to give a puppy the life that she needs, Cay will reward you with years of companionship and plenty of entertainment too! She currently weighs about 10 pounds and expect she will weigh 30-35 pounds once full-grown. Her adoption fee is $350. She’s spayed, on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Cay. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children less than 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
