Chance is a very handsome 1.5 year-old Boxer/Hound mix male with a winning smile and a great disposition. Unfortunately, he lost his home before Christmas and was surrendered to an overcrowded rural county dog shelter by his owner. Chance has had some training and will happily sit and shake hands for a treat. He also walks quite well on a leash once he gets over the initial excitement of going for a walk. Chance is an active boy who is eager to please so will do well with a new owner who has the time to continue his obedience training. He gets along well with other dogs but does like to play rough so would need a canine companion who can match his energy level. Chance has done well with crate-training in his foster home and may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. He’s looking forward to making a fresh start in 2018! Chance weighs about 57 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Chance. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so won’t place any of our dogs in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
