Looking to add more pep to your step? Chessy, our 9 month-old Yellow Lab/Mountain Cur mix pup, is sure to pick up the pace at your house. This active and energetic girl came into an overcrowded county dog shelter as a stray and when she wasn’t claimed, made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she could take her time finding the perfect new home. This girl is all puppy and no couch potato so is going to need an active family who has plenty of time and energy to take on a young dog. Chessy has a great disposition and just needs some direction. It appears that no one has ever spent much time working with her. She is eager to please and very food-motivated so obedience training should be a positive experience with her. Chessy loves playing with other dogs so would benefit from having a playful canine buddy in her new home to pal around with. She has been good in her crate in her foster home so should be able to pick up the house rules in her new home without too much trouble. Chessy needs to work on her leash manners and would do well with an Easy Walk harness. Once she gets some training under her belt, she’s going to be an outstanding walking, hiking, or jogging buddy. Chessy weighs about 38 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Chessy. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
