Chloe-Black Lab

Chloe is a beautiful 5 and ½ year-old purebred Black Lab who was surrendered to a shelter by her family who could no longer keep her. We don’t know what circumstances led to Chloe losing her home but we can only imagine that her family was sad to see her go. From the shelter, Chloe made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she could enjoy life in a foster home while searching for the perfect new home. Chloe is everything you’d want in a Lab—friendly, outgoing, affectionate, playful, and with plenty of spunk. According to the paperwork that was sent with her, Chloe was born in August 2013 but she acts much younger than her 5.5 years. She knows some commands including sit, shake hands, and down but is VERY strong on the leash so will definitely need work in that area. Using an EasyWalk Harness as she works on her leash manners will make walks much more enjoyable. Like most Labs, Chloe is extremely food-motivated and will do just about anything for a treat. She gets along well with other dogs, has excellent crate manners, and is likely to be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee that. Chloe weighs about 71 pounds but needs to lose a few pounds to be at her ideal weight. She hopes to find a new family who will keep her active and busy this spring so she can get into great shape for summer fun. Her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Chloe. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
